Q4 2020 Performance of Top Pair Puzzle Apps in the UK

In the final quarter of 2020, pair puzzle apps continued to engage users across the United Kingdom. Sensor Tower's data provides a glimpse into the performance of the top five applications in this category.

Starting with Match 3D by Lion Studios Plus, the app saw a significant upward trend in downloads, jumping from 41K in late September to a peak of 90K by the year's end. Weekly active users followed a similar trajectory, soaring from 283K to 424K in the same period. Revenue also saw a healthy increase, with the week of December 28th generating approximately $46K.

VIZOR APPS LTD's Mahjong Treasure Quest experienced a more modest performance. Downloads hovered around the 1K mark weekly, but notably spiked to 1.6K in the last week of December. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 7.5K to 7.7K over the quarter. Revenue, however, showed a decline, ending the quarter at around $9K.

Jam City, Inc.'s Mahjong City Tours: Tile Match revealed a consistent revenue stream, starting at $9.8K and rising to $11.8K by year's end. Downloads saw a decrease from 3K to just under 2K, with active users reflecting a slight decrease from 14.6K to 13.7K.

The journey for Mahjong Journey®: Tile Match by G5 Entertainment AB showed fluctuating revenues, concluding the quarter with around $6.4K. Download figures started strong at 925 but dipped to 372 in the last week of December. The active user base contracted from 1.5K to 883 over the quarter.

Lastly, G5's Emperor of Mahjong: Tile Match saw revenues that ranged from $2.4K to $3.4K, with downloads peaking at 774 in early October but falling to 91 by the close of the year. The weekly active user count for this title was not provided.
